Posted on Sep 15, 2017 2:17 pm

The Town Board of the Town of Plum Lake, Vilas County, Wisconsin, by this resolution, adopted by a majority of the Town Board on a roll call vote with a quorum present and voting and proper notice having been given, resolves and orders as follows:

Pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes, a Petition was filed by landowners in the Town of Plum Lake requesting that a Public Inland Lake District be established for Plum Lake, a public inland lake located entirely within the Town of Plum Lake.  The proposed name for the District was The Plum Lake District.  Pursuant to the findings of the Town Board, stated below, the Petition is hereby denied.

The Town Board, after consideration of the testimony at the public hearing, all written correspondence received by the Board, both before and since the hearing in accordance with the procedure established by the Board and any other evidence submitted to the Board, has found all of the following:

   1.  The proposed lake district is not necessary.

   2.  The public health, comfort, convenience, necessity, or public welfare will not be promoted by the establishment of the district.

   3.  The real property proposed to be included in the lake district will not be benefited by the establishment of the lake district.

In consideration of the foregoing findings, the Petition requesting that a Plum Lake District be established in the town of Plum Lake is hereby denied.

The Town Clerk shall properly post or publish this Resolution as required by Section 60.80, Wis. Stats.
